Sun Care Package Distribution

  • We distribute free sun care packages to children and families, providing immediate access to sun protection and education. 

  • These packages are designed to encourage healthy, sun-safe habits and connect families with our resources.

Social Media Awareness Campaign

  • Launch a series of Instagram and TikTok posts debunking myths about melanin and sunscreen.

  • Partner with influencers and local dermatologists for expert advice.

Community Event

  • We plan to host an in-person community event in the DMV area.  We aim to educate and engage local families in sun safety and skin health. This event will provide hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to learn about healthy sun habits in a fun and informative environment.​

Partnership Development

  • Form partnerships with local dermatologists, schools, and community centers.

  • Build relationships with skincare brands for donations and sponsorships.

Worldwide Expansion

  • Establish 3+ chapters to reach more communities and measure impact effectively.

  • Chapters will run localized outreach, including events and educational programs, to expand sun safety awareness and track community impact.

Children's Book

  • We are creating a children's book focused on sun safety and skin health, with a focus on diversity and representation.

  • It emphasizes how sun protection is important for all skin tones, especially children with melanin-rich tones, and provides tips for safe outdoor play.

Glow Guard: Sunscreen Reminder System

  • Glow Guard is a digital tool designed to send daily reminders to wear sunscreen, helping families and youth develop consistent sun protection habits.

  • It will also provide interactive sun-safe games and educational content to make learning UV safety fun and engaging.

Partnerships with National Organizations

  • Collaborate with major nonprofits, skincare companies, and health organizations to expand reach and funding.

  • Advocate for better representation of Black and brown communities in dermatology and healthcare.
